They are primarily used to drain residual water, flush out sediment and scale buildup, and complete winterization draining to prevent pipe freeze damage. We offer a complete range of connection options to fit North American standard piping. Available thread types include NPT male thread, GHT garden hose thread, compression end connections, as well as MPT × MHT combinations. Each model features distinct port designs: some support direct garden hose connection for easy draining, while others adapt to rigid metal piping. Yes. All our standard boiler drain valves are constructed from high-quality low-lead forged brass, fully compliant with NSF/ANSI 372 low lead regulations. This certification makes them qualified for potable water systems across the United States and Canada. Every batch of raw brass material undergoes component testing to ensure heavy metal content stays within regulated limits, helping distributors and installers meet local plumbing code requirements.

Our standard boiler drain valve series carries a 125 CWP cold working pressure rating. Each finished valve undergoes air leakage testing before leaving the factory to eliminate internal and external seepage. Under normal operating temperature and pressure within the rated range, the valves maintain reliable sealing performance. We do not recommend operating the valve beyond the specified pressure to extend service life and avoid leakage risks.

We supply two main operation styles. The FBDMC75QT quarter-turn boiler drain features a butterfly handle; it fully opens or closes with just a 90-degree rotation, enabling quick on-off draining for fast maintenance. Multi-turn models equipped with blue handwheels require multiple rotations to adjust flow. They deliver gradual flow regulation, allowing users to control drain speed precisely, which is preferred for projects that need slow sediment discharge.

First, confirm the thread types match your existing piping; avoid force assembling mismatched NPT and GHT connections. Wrap PTFE thread tape evenly on male NPT threads to improve sealing. Do not over-tighten the valve body during installation, as excessive force may crack the brass body or damage internal sealing components. For valves that work under frequent draining cycles, regularly inspect the internal gaskets and replace worn sealing parts in time.
