Mold Making

The success of any high-volume manufacturing project begins with one component: a perfect mold. Fanovo is a world-class factory and manufacturing partner specializing in the design, engineering, and fabrication of high-precision molds, tools, and dies for die casting, injection molding, and metal forging.

As an ISO 9001 certified tooling manufacturer, we understand that a mold is more than just a piece of steel—it’s a long-term capital asset that defines your product’s quality, consistency, and profitability. We partner with leading OEMs and industrial designers to create robust, high-performance tooling that delivers millions of flawless cycles.

Fanovo: The Foundation of Your Manufacturing
Choosing Fanovo as your mold making supplier means investing in precision, longevity, and a seamless path from design to production.

Engineering-Led Design (DFM/DFM): Our core strength lies in our engineering. We utilize advanced CAD/CAM software and Mold Flow analysis to collaborate with your team. We perform rigorous Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews to optimize your part for efficient molding, identify potential defects before steel is cut, and ensure a smooth production launch.
Built for Longevity & ROI: A cheap mold is an expensive mistake. We construct our tools using only premium-grade, certified tool steels (e.g., H13, P20, S7) from reputable suppliers. Combined with precision heat treatment, this ensures your mold withstands the extreme pressures and temperatures of production, guaranteeing a long service life and a superior return on investment.
Ultra-Precision Machining: Our toolmaking workshop is equipped with high-speed CNC machining centers, wire EDMs, and sinker EDMs, allowing us to achieve tolerances measured in microns. This precision ensures perfect parting lines, flash-free parts, and complex geometries that lesser toolmakers cannot achieve.
Integrated Production & Validation: The ultimate test of a mold is the part it produces. As an integrated manufacturer with in-house die casting and forging capabilities, we offer a unique advantage: we can build your tool AND run your production. We manage the entire process from T1 (first shot) sampling, metallurgical analysis, and full First Article Inspection (FAI) reports until the part is perfected and approved for mass production.
Complete Confidentiality & IP Protection: Your design is your intellectual property. We operate under strict Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and have robust systems in place to protect your designs with absolute confidentiality.

Certificate

Our commitment to quality, safety, and precision is backed by globally recognized certifications. Every Mold Making we manufacture undergoes rigorous quality management and complies with strict international standards for drinking water safety, pressure safety, and environmental protection.
What types of molds can Fanovo manufacture?

Fanovo specializes in custom injection molds, compression molds and casting molds for brass fittings, plumbing valves, plastic fluid control components. We design single-cavity & multi-cavity molds, prototype tooling and mass-production hardened molds. Our molds are widely used for plumbing, industrial fluid system and hardware product manufacturing.

How long is the mold lead time from design to finished tooling?

Lead time depends on mold complexity. Simple single-cavity molds normally take 25–35 working days. Complex multi-cavity molds with precision inserts require 40–60 working days. The timeline includes DFM review, 3D design, CNC machining, polishing, assembly and trial testing. We will share a detailed production schedule after confirming your technical drawings.

Can you develop molds according to our samples or technical drawings?

Yes. We accept 2D CAD drawings, 3D STEP/IGS files, or physical product samples. Our engineering team will conduct DFM analysis, point out potential manufacturing risks, and provide optimization suggestions before starting mold processing to avoid later adjustments and extra costs.

What steel materials do you use for mold cavities and bases?

We select mold steel based on your expected production volume. Common options include P20, 718H, H13, S136 and NAK80. For high-volume continuous production, we adopt hardened stainless mold steel to extend service life and improve surface finish of finished parts.

What is the service life of your custom molds?

Service life varies by mold steel and production conditions. Medium-grade molds support 300,000–500,000 shots. Hardened precision molds can reach 1,000,000+ shots. We will clearly mark the expected mold lifespan in the quotation for your reference. Regular maintenance can effectively prolong tool service time.

Will you provide mold trial samples after completion?

Absolutely. Once mold machining is finished, we carry out mold testing and supply free trial samples for your inspection. If dimensional adjustments are required, we complete fine-tuning internally until the samples fully meet your specifications before shipment.

Who owns the intellectual property rights of the custom mold?

If you fully pay for custom mold development costs, the mold and its related design IP belong exclusively to you. We promise we will not use your exclusive mold to produce goods for other clients. We strictly protect all customer design information under confidentiality agreements.

Can you offer after-sales support for mold maintenance and repair?

We provide long-term mold after-sales service. If the mold has damage or wearing problems during production, you can send us photos for diagnosis. We support remote technical guidance, and you can ship the mold back to our factory for professional repair and polishing service at competitive cost.

Can you modify existing molds we purchased before?

Yes. We support mold modification, including product structure adjustment, cavity addition, gate optimization and surface upgrade. Please provide original drawings or send the mold to our factory, and our engineers will evaluate the feasibility and offer a modification plan and quotation.

What packaging do you use for finished molds before delivery?

All finished molds undergo anti-rust treatment first. Then they are packed in sturdy export wooden cases with fixed support to prevent collision during sea or air transportation. We attach detailed packing list and mold operation instructions for easy installation when you receive the goods.
